sarah has said before her and jeremiah's relationship revolves around food and wine. the two met at a local restaurant, rivermont pizza, where jeremiah is a chef. every wednesday sarah and her roommate julie had weekly dates at rivermont. as "regulars" sarah and julie got to know the staff at rivermont and somehow talked jeremiah into making a special pizza named after them. from there the friendship grew as sarah and jeremiah had long talks about their favorite books, overseas missions, and of course food and wine.

their wedding, set on a beautiful farm in concord, virgina, was a labor of love as all their friends chipped in to help with various pieces from roasting the coffee beans for the favors to making the bouquets and centerpieces, to signing the first dance song. the mood was relaxed and we couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous virgina day.

lindsay and i started working at place of hope the same day almost four years ago. throughout that time she and her husband jeremy began a church plant in west palm beach and are now starting a family! lindsay is due in november and is simply glowing, she is seriously one of the cutest pregnant ladies i know. and it was so fun to have jeremy along with us; he was the perfect doting husband, telling lindsay how beautiful she looked at each location. and he was right, see for yourself....

layla's daddy is in seminary so we did a special photo for him with layla and his bible:

there is nothing sweeter than a newborn and layla is no exception. a special thanks to her mom for helping comfort layla on one of the coldest days in florida history...layla wanted nothing more to be cuddled up in a warm blanket, but i forced her to bear the elements to capture some of these precious photos. so thanks tiff, my prayer is layla grows up to be a wonderful godly woman, just like her momma!

jay and i were able to travel to ohio post christmas to visit my family. as soon as we booked the tickets i started praying for snow; living in south florida it is something i miss around christmas time. the night before jay flew in my prayers were answered and a big snow storm hit and there were constant flurries throughout the week. as soon as the snow started to fall i took my camera and ran outside to grab some pictures. below are a few of my favorites:

the first sunday of every month my church, the ascent, conducts a "night of worship"; an evening of all singing and worship held at the harriet in downtown west palm beach. this past night of worship was extra special because the band was recording a live cd that will hopefully be available in march. reflecting back on the night, it was evident that the energy and focus from the band to the congregation was really on worshiping the lord, not recording a good sounding album. it was amazing to be in the midst of 700 people all singing and praising god with no reservation...

i love these kids and i love their parents. i have known their mom since about a month after moving to florida when she hired me to work at place of hope. i have watched her three children grow up over the past three years and they are truly some of the most adorable kids i know. meet the webbs:

teresa and shaun both work at the same church as my husband jay; teresa works in God's town and shaun works with the senior high youth. as i was talking to teresa about family pictures she mentioned they had not taken any for about eight years...i decided it was about time they got back in front of the camera and i am glad they agreed.

jay and i traveled to south carolina for thanksgiving last week; while we were there we squeezed in a quick family session with jay's brother, sister.in.law. and two adorable children. jay and his mom came to the shoot too, so it was a whole family affair! i feel so fortunate to have married into such a loving family. they have accepted me from the first time jay brought me home to meet everyone (even if i did break a collectors plate and set off the burglar alarm!) and i love them dearly.

my final favorite session from this year was my engagement session with jo and jason.
i could write so much about these two....jo was one of the first friends i made when i moved to west palm beach and i absolutely love and adore her; she is one of the most loving, forgiving, and joyful person i have met. last years she started dating a fabulous guy and when she called to tell me he had proposed i was so excited for her... she simply deserves the best. it was such an honor for me to take their engagement pictures and i am looking forward to their wedding next summer!

so another one of my favorite shoots this year was with my brother and sister.in.law. zac, my older brother, got married almost three years ago to his lovely wife sarah. the way these two look at each other would make anyone melt and it blesses my heart to see my brother so in love to such a wonderful woman. we had so much fun traipsing around downtown canton on their day after shoot. and i may be biased, but having such a gorgeous couple truly makes my job as a photographer easy! thank you both for allowing me to capture these special images; i truly treasured our time together.

welcome to the official blog of marie kelley photography. i hesitated creating a photography blog for a long time because i am currently working on a website/blog that should go live in the very near future. the website will be a blog/website in one, aka a blog-site, so once it is finished this blog will be obsolete. but i have so many recent shoots i want to share so with much trepidation...here it is! keep checking back, i will try to update often.
